I am so very impressed with Hudson Valley Chimney Service. Our liner was so compromised that our oil company made us sign a waiver two weeks ago. Though he didn’t “shut us down” because a cold snap was imminent, he stressed our furnace was dangerous to use and should only be switched on for the shortest periods of time and as infrequently as possible.

At the beginning of November, one of your workers, Larry, and his able assistant, performed a number of tasks related to the operation of the wood stove in our house. These tasks centered around the installation of a chimney liner, cleaning of the existing chimney, etc. and lasted almost the entire day in duration.

Given the weather over roughly the past month, my wife and I have been operating the wood stove on a fairly consistent basis.

We wanted you to know that the stove, in its third year of use, has never operated more efficiently or effectively, virtually every aspect, from the starting of the fire, to giving off heat (the fan has never worked so well) to the downturn in the amount of wood being used, has seen drastic improvement.

We can only assume that the changes were a direct result of the very dedicated and professional work of your employees.

I just had to write to tell you that I really miss your "merry band of chimney builders". Working with them the past 5 days was a pleasure. My new chimneys are beautiful! I am very satisfied with their work.

You should be proud of your men. As a customer, having delt with many contractors in the past, I can honestly say that they were the most polite and respectful. They all worked very hard, despite the high temperatures and humidity. Rob did a great job cleaning my very dirty chimneys that were housing treasures like birde's nests midst all the soot.

I'm sad that I am unable to use any of the fireplaces as yet, but at least we were able to remove those ugly foam boards from the front of each, and now the fireplaces look like fireplaces. I'm delighted that I no linger have to worry about "strange creatures" paying visits via the chimneys in the middle of the night. As soon as I am able, I will call to request your services once again to cintinue work on my chimneys to render them functional.
